Thanks to Manitobans, 75% of beverage containers were recovered in 2024, a major milestone made possible by simple, everyday recycling habits across the province.
You Drink It. You Bin It.
And when millions of Manitobans do that day after day, it adds up.
Across the province, there are more than 85,000 public space recycling bins, one for every 17 Manitobans, located at workplaces, schools, parks, community gathering places, and more. Each container recycled helps keep valuable materials out of landfills.
Behind the scenes, Manitoba’s beverage container recycling program is also one of the most efficient in the country, operating at the lowest cost per unit in Canada.
This milestone follows a meaningful year for Recycle Everywhere, which marked 15 years of beverage container recovery in Manitoba in 2024, a made-in-Manitoba success story powered by communities, partners, and you.
